Animal Welfare & Behavior Club
A pro-agriculture student organization at Texas A&M University
Meet the Officers!
President
Kaitlyn vo
Howdy, my name is Kaitlyn Vo and I will be this year’s Animal Welfare and Behavior Club President! I’ve been all over the place, but I find my home to be in Pflugerville, Texas. Some of my interests include fashion, video games, listening to music, and baking! Although I am currently a junior Psychology student, I originally started my journey at A&M with Animal Science. Despite my change in major, my passion for animals remained. In fact, this will be my second year with A&M’s Animal Welfare Judging Team!
Vice President
Mia LeBoeuf
I’m Mia LeBoeuf, I’m originally from Louisiana, but I moved to Texas a couple years ago and have been here ever since. I’m a senior Animal Science major, and I’m also pursuing my equine certificate. I hope to work in the equine assisted therapy field and love anything to with painting, serving others, seafood, or animals! I look forward to this upcoming year!
Secretary
Kylie Catchings
Howdy! My name is Kylie and I am a senior Animal Science major, taking the pre-vet route. I am from Spring, TX and a second generation Aggie. I am very excited to be the 2024-2025 AWBC secretary and meet fellow club members! I love to cook and read books during my free time. I also love playing with my dogs and my rabbit.
Treasurer
Anthony Green
Howdy, there! I'm Anthony Greenwood, a junior majoring in Animal Science from Carrollton! I love all things outdoors and animal related, and found my way into the AWBC by following my passion for understanding and providing for animals. Turns out that if you want to understand animals better there's no better place to go than the AWBC. I see the biodiversity we have on this planet as a unique blessing, and I enjoy learning about what makes every species special! I've grown up around animals my whole life, starting with some domestic ones like dogs, cats, and rabbits, but recently I've unofficially adopted some abnormal ones: owls, geese, squirrels, a turtle named Franklin, and a flock of finches. I'll admit, I don't have much obvious leadership experience, as most of my trials have come in small ways throughout my life; there's no one prominent event that I can point to and say "that one." Despite that, I still lead from the front, and take any chance I can to throw myself at a problem that I think I can solve.
Public Relations
Romina Herbsommer
Howdy! My name is Romina Herbsommer, and I am from Allen, TX. I am currently a junior animal science major with minors in psychology and biomedical sciences. I am hoping to go into animal rehabilitation or research with a focus on animal welfare and/or small animals in the future, or do something within human medicine. I have a dog named Strike and a cat named Finn! I am so excited to be this years public relations officer!
Public Relations
Mayela Alvarado
Howdy! My name is Mayela Alvarado, a Junior Animal Science major from Houston, Texas! I’m super excited to be your public relations officer this year! I can’t wait to learn and grow more with y’all. My goal is to go to veterinary school to pursue small animal medicine. I spent all summer working at a small animal clinic, but when i’m not working I love spending time with my family and friends, and cuddle with my little chihuahua. I love music, game nights, dancing, but most importantly, eating. Let’s have a great year!

I am from Irving, Tx which is 20 minutes away from Dallas. Whenever I am not studying or working, I love watching k-dramas and anime in my free time.
Financial Committee
Kylee Taylor
Howdy! My name is Kylee Taylor, and I'm from Laredo, Texas. I'm a junior majoring in animal science with the hope of attending veterinary school. I'm leaning toward focusing on small animals and exotics for my plans of being a veterinarian. Back in my hometown, I am a veterinary technician at a small animal/ exotics clinic with a veterinarian who attended Texas A&M. Besides my professional life, I enjoy traveling, trying new foods, going to the beach, and chilling at home with my dog watching TV. I joined this club and became an officer because I wanted to tie my passion for veterinary medicine with animal welfare. I am grateful to be able to be an officer to meet all the new members and become great friends with this great group of officers. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for this club!
